How to Reach Your Full Potential in 3 Simple Steps
/How do you reach your full potential when you’re stuck living paycheck to paycheck at a job you don’t truly enjoy? You pack everything up, and you move. Eight years ago I moved from California to Texas, knowing nobody! I know, it sounds crazy, but hear me out!
Make better use of your time
You don’t have to live a mundane life. You’re stuck in a schedule that is in your comfort zone, and it is time to change that. When you get off of work, don’t go straight home. Take some time for yourself—go to the gym or take good walk. These are great ways to clear your mind and start thinking about the changes that you need to make to enjoy your life more. If your little town isn’t bringing you an abundance of happiness, then start searching for your next adventure. If your job makes you want to pull your hair out, then it is time to find a new job. Don’t waste your time on activities that make you feel like you have a rock tied to your ankles all the time.
Start taking risks
If you’re ready to crush your boring life, then you have to start taking risks. I’m not telling you to bet all your money on one horse at the track, but you get the idea here. Risk taking can be daunting, but it can also be what opens a huge doorway for you. Here are two ideas for taking risks that can increase your happiness:
Make a career change. It is never too late to try out something new. A 9-5 job might not be what fits the bill for your happiness, and that is totally okay! Check with your employer to see if they offer any education benefits. If they don’t, then you can still take classes a few at a time in order to make them more affordable.
Move to a new city. Maybe the city will be an hour away from where you live now, or you can really shoot for the moon and move across the country. It all depends on how much adventure you’re ready to make. Pick out a few cities and start applying for jobs in the area. Don’t forget to check and see if those companies have education benefits as well!
Jump the hurdles
These sound like great ideas, but how do you actually make it happen? Start by downsizing. Donate, trash and sell the things that don’t bring you happiness or you haven’t used in 6 months. Use any money you make to save up for your move. Don’t worry about finding a moving company because Yes! Moving and Storage has you covered. They have a ton of positive reviews on their website, so you can rest assured that your stuff will arrive safely to their new home. You can also check out the coupons on their website to save yourself some money on your furniture delivery in Dallas.
You can’t reach your full potential if you aren’t doing things that bring you happiness. Cut out some of the unneeded expenses like expensive coffee and movie subscriptions, and save up to make a big change. You’ll be surprised at the new doors that open up for you!
