3 Pairs of Maternity Denim that You Need

THIS POST HAS BEEN UPDATED TO MOST RECENT LINKS and NEW STYLES/WASHES - sky

I am just over the halfway mark of my pregnancy. It has taken about 22 weeks for my bump to start showing! But, my waist line started growing way early on- meaning NONE of my high-rise denim were buttoning on the top button. I have been using a rubber band for as long as I can!

I have had some fun trying on different types of jeans that not only are comfortable, but also look cute and trendy. Because pregnancy flies by, I have opted to keep only three of my favorite pairs of maternity jeans that will last me my whole pregnancy (and that I can save for my next!). Let’s be real, majority of maternity clothing (that is quality and fits in the right places) is a little out of our spending comfort zone.

I stuck to my original size in each brand. Sevens I wear a 24 and Paige Denim I do a 25. They all fit perfectly!

The Paige Noella Maternity Denim are my most worn jeans. The side paneling is super comfortable. They sit right below my bump so they don’t feel restricting. In the back, they are HIGH RISE!! It was so hard to find a pair of high rise maternity denim and find a straight leg. These Paige Noella jeans are not only cute and comfortable, but they are also trendy! …. the best thing is that I do not feel like I am wearing maternity denim.

The next pair of maternity denim I opted to keep were the Sevens Josephina Girlfriend Denim. I love these ones because the side paneling is darker so it is more discreet. They are NOT a skinny jean! The material is super giving and comfortable. These Josephina Girlfriend Maternity Jeans are perfect for any day outing or for dressing up for work. I stuck to my normal size, 24 and they fit perfectly. Again, these jeans sit right below the bump, but in the back they are a high-rise. They also allow for a front tuck!

The last pair of denim that I kept for the Sevens Maternity Slim Kick Denim. These compare to the Paige Noella denim, but the color of these is a little lighter and even more perfect for spring time and trendy outfits. The slight “slim kick” or flare at the bottom is my favorite! I have yet to wear these ones and take a photo! Once I do - I will update.

I hope this helps with your maternity denim shopping! Not all maternity clothes HAVE to look like maternity clothes ;) . Have fun with this special time!

My Top 3 Favorite Nursing Bras

During my last trimester of pregnancy, I have been living in nursing bras. Let’s be honest, we all know that our breasts get bigger and need some sort of support and those underwire bras are not something you want to wear, especially all day when just at home.

I have rounded up my favorite 3 nursing bras from a comfort level and from a practical point of view. I have not had my baby yet, but I can tell you that these nursing bras will be just perfect and work perfectly with the Elvie Breast Pump.

The Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra is light weight but supportive. It is perfect for everyday use- at home, or on the go! The material molds to your shape. I removed the pads in mine (I prefer no pads in any bra). This bra unclips so that it has easy access for nursing. Follow the sizing chart- I got a size small and my chest size is a 34DD. This bra will be perfect for nursing and for pumping with the Elvie.

The Spanx Bra-Lellujah Mama Maternity/Nursing Bra is by far my favorite! The pads can be removed, but the bra still gives you the shape and support you need while not being too thin. It unclips, making it perfect for nursing. I got a size medium in this bra. I also have the non-maternity/nursing version of this bra and I love it! The fabric on this nursing bra grows with you. The back of this bra is racerback - therefor it is the best option to wear with racerback tanks. I have not found another option that is racerback, or a bra that has straps that can be convertible. Again, this bra has enough support that I can slip by Elvie Breast Pump in and pump!

The Ballet Bra by Bravado is my third favorite nursing bra. This bra is very versatile and the fabric is so soft! This bra does not come with padding, but it is double lined. The front allows easy access for nursing. While I am not pumping just yet, I did test the Elvie with the bra and it fits perfectly. This is another good option for an all day option. In this bra, I got a size small. The size chart seems deceiving, but follow it. I got this Ballet Bra in 4 colors — I love it that much! This is one that I will sleep in, too.
