What is in My Hospital Bag

*UPDATED POST*

Camryn Jade arrived on July 25th at 1:19PM. We are so in love!

I have updated this post to show what I actually used, and what I did not.

We are just a few weeks out from my due date (about 8 more to go!), and our bags are all packed up for the hospital. I cannot believe it is ALMOST time! It is crazy to think that we will be holding her in just a short time. My emotions go a little crazy each time I think about it. Back on topic, I think that one thing a lot of new moms and parents stress out about is what to pack in your hospital bag. I have heard from almost everyone that the hospital provides ALL the necessities you need and all of the things you bring from home are purely for your own comfort. This being said, I would not stress about bringing the “perfect” items. I might not even use all of the things I pack, but I would rather be prepared than to wish I had brought something I didn’t.

My goal is to pack everything into my CALPAK suitcase using my CALPAK Packing Cubes to keep me from overpacking. I used to be such an over packer until I got these cubes. I swear by them. The only thing that will not fit into my suitcase will be my pillow and blanket which I will grab on the way out the door… eeek!

I will update this after the hospital.

Clothes & Shoes

  • Pajamas- it was mentioned to me more than once to bring darker-colored pajamas. I got this set in the black color and they are SO comfy! I will also pack one extra set just in case. MUST BRING

  • Robe- I got this robe- shorter in length so that it fit comfortably in my bag. MUST BRING

  • Going home outfit- many other moms let me know that I likely would not want to wear something tight-fitting on the way home from the hospital. In that case, I bought the this black dress and matching set which is perfect for the Austin, Texas heat. I am honestly not that worried about looking too “cute”- I am just happy to be going home :) MUST BRING

  • Underwear - THESE WERE A MUST
